Thoughts on Comparison - Meditating with Hexahedron - Cube
Share
Today, I found myself pondering…
We have this natural tendency to constantly compare ourselves to others. But often, comparison comes with the subtle intention of determining whether we feel better or worse than someone else.
While meditating on the Cube, which symbolizes the here and now, I realized that when we compare ourselves, we inadvertently forget that we are unique beings, and the same situation can be experienced in completely different ways. Our perception or opinion of being better or worse becomes irrelevant.
But if comparison is irrelevant, why does it exist? I wondered.
Comparison has a divine aspect; it is through comparison that we see possibilities and paths to be explored. We are all explorers of life, seeking experiences. When we look at others and compare ourselves in a healthy way, a door opens, a new possibility emerges, allowing us to create our own path inspired by that newfound idea.
In essence, comparison, when approached positively, becomes a tool for growth and self-discovery.
Does this make sense to you? I’m just sharing my thoughts and would love to hear what you think.
